I downloaded and installed your software on my Tungsten. When I hit the icon on my palm I got the following error message, (sys 0505) (0,506) What do I do?
You have downloaded and installed an older version of our software which is not compatible with newer Palm OS 5 devices such as the new Palm Tungsten and Zires.
To restore functionality to your PDA, perform a soft reset on your device. Download and install the latest version of our software from our site. You do not need to remove the old version of the software as the new installation will overwrite the existing program files.
I tried to install your program, but the Palm installer keeps looking for an expansion card. Do I need an expansion card to run your software?
No, you don't need an expansion card. The software file that you downloaded is a self-extracting zip file. Copy it to, and run it from the desktop/laptop computer that will sync with your Palm PDA. DO NOT run it on, or try to install is to your Palm PDA. When you open the downloaded EXE file, it will automatically extract the program files to a temporary directory on your desktop PC, then will start a set-up program that will queue the proper .prc files to be installed on you PDA upon the next Hotsync event.
The necessary .prc file required by your Palm device, along with readme and license information is contained in compressed form within the file you downloaded.
The registration key emailed to me doesn't work.
If your Registration Key fails it is probably the result of an incorrect
HotSync ID/Owner's Name submitted with your order. Please reply to the email transmittal of your Registration key with your HotSync ID/Owner's Name, exactly as it is stored in your
PDA -- including capitalization, spaces and punctuation -- and a corrected registration key will be emailed to you.
If you don't know your HotSync name, tap the Hotsync icon on your main Palm screen. Your HotSync name is displayed in the upper right corner. For Pocket PC, your Owner's Name is displayed on your 'Today' Screen.

Your software runs very slowly on my PDA. Is there a way to speed things up?
Our Real Estate software is very calculation intensive, but should take less than a minute to run through it's analysis process. If you are using an older Palm PDA, OS 4 or less, using the Real Estate Geek version optimized for older devices will result in faster calculation performance. However, this version is not Palm OS 5 compliant and will generate an error on the newer Palm devices.
If you are using a Pocket PC, the poor performance is probably due to low memory. It is important to note that as a by-product of the "always on" feature of the Pocket PC, applications that are opened on the Pocket PC remain active in memory until they are explicity removed or when a soft reset is performed on the device. Exiting a program only removes the program from active view -- something similar to "minimizing" a window on your PC. Turning off your PDA only shuts off power to the display screen and ports, the processor remains active and all programs opened continue to run.
To view the programs that are active in memory, select "Settings" then "Memory", then the "Running Programs" tab. Here you can actually close programs that are slowing down your PDA. There are also utilities available to manage memory, switch between and close programs to tweek the performance of your Pocket PC. If you Pocket PC periodically crashes and requires a soft reset to repair, chances are it is due to low memory problems. The soft reset is the PPC equivalent to rebooting a PC.
The program freezes up when I launch it, but after punching a few buttons, the input screen will appear. How do I fix this?
A splash screen on all our software is displayed for about 20 seconds while the program is launched, and files are loaded into memory. This is by design.

I purchased your software a few months ago, now an newer version is available. What is you upgrade policy?
Your purchase of a single use license for Geek-to-Go.com software includes complementary upgrades for versions using the same PDA platform.
If you change from a Palm to a Pocket PC device, or visa versa, you will need to purchase another license.
For the Real Estate Geek and the Madness Manager, just download the latest trial version to your PDA, install and overwrite the previous version of the software. You do not need to remove the old version before installing the new version. Your registration key will continue to work on the updated software.
